Its best to consult this with your surgeon before having treatment done, most patients should wait 3-6 months before having a laser treatment over an incision

Any follicles that have been destroyed with laser hair removal are not capable of regrowing hair under any circumstances. So, those hairs will not be able to grow hair ever again. You will still have any hairs that weren't affected or in the right stage for the laser to target them....

  See a good dermatologist and shave only where you must. Afro- American skin commonly shows these problems and if so shaving should be kept to a minimum. Laser hair removal is a good option to avoid the irritation of the shaving process and can probably reduce the formation of bumps.

Hi Rick, Great question but Unfortunately No, Lasers will not see hair that has been colored, it and only targets the hair follicle itself

Yes you can have laser hair removal near an abdominoplasty scar.  To minimize discomfort in that area, I suggest using the Duet Lightsheer. If your scar still has any redness, then a pulsed-light treatment may help normalize the color. If the scar is raised or dark, then a Fraxel treatment...

Most patients would be happy to have had such a great result. Don't worry, to see full correction from laser hair removal you would need a series of 6-8 treatments total. It may take some time but your hair will fully grow back.
