Is it safe to have thread lifts done once every year?

I’ve had the nose thread lift performed twice now. The second time, one of the threads started extruding 3 months after the procedure. I’m really scared of filler so I was wondering if it would be safe to have threads done yearsly for the rest of my life ?

Hi, you can definitely have threads annually if you need them. As a matter of fact, threads are not typically a procedure that patients get only once. You may get great results from your thread lift and in a year or so, find that you feel like you need a refresh, this is pretty typical. Threads are a great way to hold off on surgery and can give you great lift by creating scaffolding for new collagen but often we do need to have additional treatments over time. This is not because of anything wrong with the threads, only that they degrade and we continue to age and we continue to require support as we age. Since threads help replace or build collagen, they are great to get multiple times if you like your results, there is no harm in getting repeated treatments.
