protruding canine tooth, I am aware that the rest of my teeth are not completely straight but I can live with them. It is the one canine tooth that I cannot stand, it makes me so self conscious. I really want it fixed and metal braces aren’t really an option for me. Please tell me there is an alternative!?

Answer: Protruding canine You're an excellent candidate for cosmetic dentistry! Based on your pictures, I would recommend either Invisalign or porcelain veneers. Both procedures can help your smile, however veneers can also whiten the color. It looks as if your canine on your right side pops out, but the lateral incisor next to it also slants inward, making it look more pronounced. Some factors to consider in your decision are time and how disciplined you are. With Invisalign, the treatment will probably take a year to complete, and you'll have to wear retainers for the rest of your life. Veneers are done in 2 visits, and you don't have to worry about the teeth moving back!

Answer: Canine Tooth Your issue appears to be due to a "positional" problem which arises due to the position of not just one tooth but of several. I would recommend an orthodontic consult and spend your money wisely as a single veneer may do very little to improve your single tooth position.
