I got hyper-pigmentation on my face due to micro-dermabrasion and vitamin A peel which i did 5 years back in one of the laser clinic. After that i have tried several things like fraxal laser and peels. The pigmentation goes away with Hydroquinone treatment but returns back after i stop using it. Is there any permanent treatment for it? Or is there any cream to lighten it without any sideeffects

A series of Intense Pulsed Light treatments (IPL) in combination with a proper hydroquinone protocol should fade the pigmentation. Abruptly stopping hydroquinone can cause adverse side effects on the skin. You must gradually reduce your dose while simultaneously starting a non-hydroquinone skin brightening program. Also, correct use of sunblock will prevent pigmentation from returning. It is unlikely that microdermabrasion itself would cause this issue, unless the practitioner was overly agressive and/or you had direct over-exposure to the sun shortly after having the treatment performed.
