I had microderm done a week ago. I was on retin a and had used it the night before. I mentioned this to the esthetician and she said my skin could tolerate it. She went over active acne and said she extracted them and it did seem like it at first but a couple days later my acne got worse. The pimples she said she extracted got a lot bigger and others starter popping up! Still breaking out a week after, is this normal?

Hi I am sorry to hear of your acne scars. Unfortunately, microdermabrasion is not the best way to go. You would need rfmicroneedling to break down scar tissue/old collagen and bring new collagen to the surface. A very effective add on for this which enhances results is the use of Platelet Rich...
Tinea versicolor is a dermatological condition caused by a fungus called malassezia furfur. It has nothing to do with microdermabrasion treatment.Microdermabrasion is a skin polishing treatment done for skin enhancement, acne scars and pigmentation.
Microdermabrasion can help reduce the superficial pigment but does not offer benefits for deeper structures (such as dark circles around the eyes) and doesn’t have predictable results for reducing dark circles.
