I am 1 week post septorhinoplasty and have absolutely no airflow through my nose due to my septum being swollen both sides filling the whole of my nostrils. I understand swelling is normal, but is it normal to have absolutely no airflow after 1 week? I have trauma to the throat from the breathing pipe which makes it hard to eat/sleep and feel like it’s going to struggle to heal while I’m always breathing out of my mouth. I’m using nasal sprays, what can I do to ease septum swelling?

Thanks for your question. I'd bet that your sutures actually DID dissolve like they were supposed to, so that's why they came out. The only parts that dissolve are the parts beneath the surface. Anything on the surface remains as is and won't dissolve. It tends to attract big clumps of debris, ...
Quit while you are ahead. It is not worth taking more risks with your nose. The thick skin is a tough issue and there is no easy solution to it. Every time you have a surgery done it will become riskier. RegardsDr. J
