I use a two week guideline for my patients. It's reasonable. If you leave them out longer, it's ok. I wouldn't leave them out for a shorter window though. Two weeks is pretty typical for most surgeries- assuming that it's some variety of soft lens.
It would be 100% crazy to get an ICL for -7 if you had a normal topography, so since you said many MDs said to get ICL, i am concluding you have irregular astigmatism so they think you might have FF KC, which one of them probably should have told you, so you don't have to hear that from me;)so...
