I had ICL 1.5 weeks ago for significant vision: -8.5 and -8.75. I never had a history of astigmatism. I have not had clear vision since the procedure. I requested my vision be tested by the computer auto refractor, which shows I now have +.25 and -1.25 astigmatism in the right eye and +.25 and -.75 astigmatism in the left. The auto refractor says best unaided vision is both eyes is 20/40. My contacts gave me 20/15 vision. Will this stabilize? This can't be as good as it gets.

Yes-ICLs can be set for monovision. But at 57 my preference would be a Refractive Lens Exchange. This procedure stabilizes vision, allows the implantation of a Toric IOL, and means cataract surgery won't be needed in the future. If your natural lenses are very clear and free of any opacity...
The quality of vision you describe is likely due to either a power miscalculation or an astigmatism axis issue from your toric implant. If the axis of your ICL is misplaced it can result in blurry vision. Likewise, if the power of the ICL is off it could leave vision poorly corrected as well....
There can be corneal edema, dry eyes, or likely the lens is out of position or the the power is off. The most appropriate person to figure this out is your surgeon. If it is the correct power but the lens is out of position, it can often be rotated and the vision will improve....
