I started taking finasteride and lexapro both on the same day, being prescribed both the same day. Is there a link? My hair has gotten extremely worse and it's only been 3 weeks. I'm not sure if it's the hormones changing from both medicines or just an initial shed from finasteride.

You may want to see a hair restoration specialist concerning your hair loss as there may be additional issues other than alopecia related to stress. As for minoxidil at high doses, a family practice physician may write for it however they must understand that it would be off label dosing.
Hair loss related to stress has to run its course. It will take a good 9 months to a year after the stress issues subside for your hair to appear fuller again. You have to give it time.
