What happens if I stop my laser treatments? Are the results going to stay that way?

Hello doctors! The sideburns on my face bothered me so I got laser hair removal. My esthetician told me to get 8-10 treatments but I'm very pleased with the results after my 3rd treatment. What happens if I don't laser my face anymore? Are the results going to stay that way? Thank you!
