I'm considering getting BodytiTe on my thighs. I had a previous liposuction and left me with loose skin. I was wondering how is the recovery from it. All the recovery information I find is BodytiTe with liposuction. Thank you!
Answer: Bodytite without Lipo Hello and thank you for your question! If a patient where to just have Bodytite without liposuction, the downtime would be very minimal, maybe just 24 hours. This is because without doing liposuction, the patient would avoid injection of Tumescent and probing by a lipo cannula, which can cause some bruising, swelling and discomfort. It still would involve making a small incision to introduce the Bodytite hand piece for skin tightening. If you are just looking to tighten skin, Morpheus 8 might be a better option. Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production. Collagen is produced less and less by our bodies as we age. By stimulating collagen with Morpheus8, we can remodel the skin and tighten skin laxity. There are no incisions and downtime is minimal. Good luck!

Answer: Bodytite on the thighs recovery without liposuction Hello Robleslife, I understand why you’d want to explore BodyTite for your thighs, especially after dealing with loose skin from your previous liposuction. This can happen when removing fat from the thigh area as the skin is thinner and more delicate and can leave the skin without support. Since you’re asking about recovery from BodyTite alone—without additional liposuction—here’s what you can expect. The process involves small incisions where a probe is inserted to heat the tissue beneath the skin while another device works externally to control the temperature and tighten things up. It’s often done with local anesthesia to numb the treatment area, allowing patients to remain awake and comfortable throughout. Using local anesthesia is one of the advantages of BodyTite. Right after the procedure, you’ll likely feel some soreness, similar to a mild workout ache and swelling, and patients sometimes say the skin can be itchy while healing. Those tiny incisions—usually just a few millimeters—might be tender, but they’re small enough not to require stitches and heal very quickly. Pain is manageable, and even a Tylenol will suffice to help. A compression garment will be recommended for a couple of weeks. Most patients rest for a few days and then return to work, while a few weeks may be a necessary break from the gym. The skin tightening keeps improving over time—people often notice the full effect around 3-6 months out as collagen builds up. As with any surgery, I recommend consulting with several experienced board-certified surgeons to get more feedback on what to expect. Good luck, Dr. Adam Kinal
