Does it look like the strattice (internal bra) worked on my right breast? (Photo)

In my experience an internal bra is never as strong as a lift. I think there is a little plastic surgery marketing going on today with the internal bra concept. Most patients do not want the scarring that comes from a breast lift, and so are always very eager to avoid it and when someone says well, I can do an internal bra for you and therefore you won't need a lift it is very appealing to the patients. However, in my experience an internal bra is never as successful as a lift.

I do an internal bra with all of my lifts anyway as I think it is useful and does provide strength and helps to keep the implant in the correct position, but to deal with the rest of the breast tissue it is better to address this problem with a lift. Even for nipples that are just a little low it can be valuable in some patients such as your self to get rid of the bottom breast tissue that re-droops.

Strattice is also very helpful for patients that have very poor ligament support of their breasts, but again this is something that helps just like an internal bra, but they are not perform miracles and will not give you the same result as a left will.

I use Strattice a lot, I like it and it works well but again trying to get away without doing a lift and relying only on an internal bra or strattice are not as effective as a lift. They are great to help with a lift but not a substitute in my opinion for a lift.

You have to ask yourself this question: would you be happier with a better shape to the breast an a better position on the chest and a scar, or would you prefer no scar and your current shape. That's really what it comes down to trading a scar for a better shape. Some patients prefer to go the no scar way where as others are focused on the shape and will accept the scar to get a better shape.
