Can I stop Invisalign because it is taking a lot longer than anticipated?

Hello there,I'm sorry that your Invisalign case has taken so long with your current dentist; I've never had this happen to a patient of mine, but this doesn't mean that your dentist is doing something wrong.  Your case must have been complicated for it to last over two years.  However, I can tell you that for patients with metal braces, 4 years is not uncommon at all.  I think that it is reasonable to have your dentist stop your case and place retainers, if you are satisfied with your teeth at this point.  If not, then maybe you can consult a cosmetic dentist that can offer you more immediate, permanent results.  I have done instant ortho on patients in a single appointment.  Good luck with everything and follow me if you need more questions answered.Take care.
