Asymmetrical fat transfer, is there anything that can be done about it to reduce the large side? (photos)

I got a facial fat transfer in 2018. It was always more plump on the one side but it’s all I see when I look in the mirror. Is there something I can do about it, to shrink it or remove it?

It is very hard to remove or decrease asymmetry you currently have. Superficial liposuction, conservative treatment with corticosteroids, may have some success. Until this discrepancy is corrected/diminished I would not suggest doing anything else. You need someone very experienced in fat grafting to approach this problem. Good luck.

Thank you for your photos.  It is difficult to know exactly what is going on without an examination.  Is the area of firm?  Is it more prominent when you look up?  Have you tried massaging the area?  Has steroids been injected into this area?  Your best bet is to follow-up with your plastic surgeon, or see someone else who is skilled that transfer procedures for another opinion.  It is very unusual to have to remove fat after a fat transfer procedure.

Thanks for posting photos. I think you are describing the over inflated tear trough on the left.  I might initially inject diluted steroid in 3 sessions about 2-3 weeks apart. Otherwise directed excision of excess fat.
