I have a problem with closed comedones on the edges of my chin. I started taking accutane 11 weeks ago. On my left cheek/chin side things are really improving. On my right cheek/chin side, however, I don't see a lot of progress. So my questions now are: 1) Is there a chance that the stubborn closed comedones on my right side will fade? 2) I used to pick a few times during the last month.. will the red spots go away? Accutane can make the skin very sensitive. You should not wax while on accutane due to the sensitive nature of the skin. Tweezing may cause the skin to be red and inflamed, due again to the sensitivity of the skin.
