Hi Vito from New York! People just do not out right quit! They slowly stop wearing their aligners because it interferes with their life style more than they thought it would! You should be wearing these aligners 22 hours a day and every time you eat or snack you need to take them out and then brush your teeth and put them back in again. It is a good way to diet but sometimes people slowly slack off and just stop. Invisalign is a wonderful way to achieve beautifully straight teeth, but you have to be compliant and stick with the program which usually last a year or more. If you are just interested in correcting your smile, Six Month Smile may be a better way to go! This procedure straightens the front teeth and gives you a great smile. Less expensive and shorter treatment plan!
Invisalign is very dependent on patient compliance. The aligners have to be worn 20-22 hrs/day. It is difficult to tell what any particular person "quits",but you should not start Invisalign if you are not ready for the commitment for the entire treatment time. One of the possible reasons is that some people just find out that they cannot keep up with the aligner wear, and if not worn well they will not work effectively and will stop fitting.
From my experience, it is very rare that someone "gives up" on wearing the Invisalign trays. One reason may be that the trays are not fitting correctly and an Invisalign Refinement is needed. I've included a web reference on how to tell if you're an Invisalign candidate. Good luck!
Invisalign does work in specific situations but on cases with longer treatment times many adults lose focus. It is difficult to wear the trays 24/7 for several years? You may experience a shorter treatment time with Six month smiles or other brand of short term orthodontics.
You can definitely go under Invisalign treatment with baby teeth in your mouth... My question will be ,what is the plan for the teeth that are growing horizontal? If the treatment plan includes going after them surgically in order to get them into the mouth then Braces may be a...
For sure the Inman aligner is not going to fix your overjet. It's difficult to tell from the photo if the problem is because your upper teeth are too far forward or your lower teeth are too far back. If I had to guess, I would say it's your lower teeth. If they are crowded, perhaps straightening...
It looks like you are talking about the tooth on the upper right next to the front tooth. Teeth can be changed cosmetically by doing bonding or veneers. Since the gum height is the same as the same tooth on the other side, you would need to smooth your tooth down a bit and place the veneer over...
