Will I be able to wear my retainer without pulling my front tooth out?

One of my front teeth was knocked out during a game of basketball about 5 months ago. I've been afraid to wear my retainer ever since the accident in fear of pulling my tooth out. I want my teeth to move back to its original place.

Most people don't realize the importance of the retainer phase of treatment.  Your teeth may not be stable just yet, therefore you should act fast and get another retainer.  If not, expect tooth movement.

First, congratulations on having your braces removed!  It is such an exciting time, but also a very important phase of your orthodontic treatment.  If you were to survey several orthodontists, each and every one of them may have a different philosophy regarding retainer wear....

Hello, Thanks for your question. Unfortunately it does not. A retainer only holds the teeth in place and does not affect growth or symmetry.Have a wonderful week!
