I am 1.5-2 months post Accutane and am developing small bumps or closed comedones on my forehead, what should I do? (Photo)

I was on isotretinoin for just over a year and had gone from cystic acne on my face and back to nothing. However post accutane, small closed comedones very deep within the skin which almost look rash like, have formed only on my forehead and I am very worried. Should I revisit my dermatologist and try accutane again or should I look into benzoyl peroxide creams or other topical creams? At the moment I am using a mild organic exfoliator, witch hazel and tea tree facial moisturiser.

It's not unusual to develop comedonal acne after completion of Accutane course. It's usually related to combination of persistent oily skin and use of comedogenic products (products that can clog pores). Best way to treat this is to start a topical retinoid at nights a along with an exfoliating cleanser (salicyclic or glycolic acid cleanser). Restarting another course of Accutane is an option but should be considered only if this treatment regimen fails or you develop cystic acne again. Consult with your dermatologist to discuss these options. Good luck!
