Can Invisalign be used to correct protruding upper canines? (Photos)

Using Invisalign to correct your malocclusion would require more IPR (interproximal reduction) than I would be comfortable with and would still leave you with the cause of your blocked out canines and overcrowded lower front teeth. The reason your canine teeth are unable to erupt into their proper location is because your upper jaw is underdeveloped. Invisalign will NOT enlarge dental arches; therefore, if you use Invisalign alone to correct your malocclusion you will have to slenderize your teeth to allow the canines to fit into the underdeveloped dental arch.A much better way to treat your malocclusion is to enlarge your underdeveloped dental arches. This can be done with simple, comfortable, removable appliances. It would take approximately a year to develop your dental arches then Invisalign could be used to straighten the teeth. By utilizing this approach, you will not only have a much more attractive smile (because it will be much broader without the black spaces on the sides of your mouth) but you will also improve your airway.Good luck!

Yes Invisalign should be able to correct your crowded incisors and other teeth.  Propel could be added to speed treatment and to aid in moving the canines too!
