There is no association between mastrubation and hair loss.  You can mastrubate as often as you like and it will not lead to you losing your hair on top of your scalp.  However, if you are referring to pubic hair, it can lead to traction alopecia due to friction and constant traction.

Thank you for posting your question. It is possible that while starting finasteride, you may experience a bit more increase shedding, but this should last a few weeks, and within months hopefully you get a fuller head of hair. Try Minoxidil as well 5%, this should also help.

Any steroids can cause hair loss and acne as well as some other issues. I suggest you weigh the pros and cons of taking this type of medication.  Treatments like PRP and progesterone can be used along with minoxidil and finesteride to help limit the loss potential.  Best, Dr. Emer.
