My skin is not healing 6 days after Fraxel Repair, is this normal? (photo)

MOST PATIENTS USUALLY HEAL IN A FEW DAYS. THIS ALSO DEPENDS ON THE STRENGTH AND HEAT OF THE FRAXEL. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ON THE HEALING OF IT YOU SHOULD CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

The amount of time to heal from a Fraxel Repair treatment is directly correlated with the depth and heat used during the procedure.  Postoperatively, usually patients ooz, use frequent soaks with vinegar/water following with application of Aquaphor for approximately 3 days.  At that time, the oozing has ceased, and patient begain applying either TNS Growth Hormone and sun screen or Neocutis Biocream and sun block. These products encourage healing.  The skin peeling in sheets is not seen.  The skin gradually sloughs off. There should be edema which helps in rejuvenation of the skin.  You may be breaking out from the prolonged use of Aquaphor.  It is unlikely, but I have observed one case of a type of yeast infection.  I would have your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon assess once again.Thank you.
