Answer: Understanding Size Changes: The Drop and Fluff Process After Augmentation It’s completely normal to have concerns about your breast size after surgery, especially just one week post-op. Here are some important points to consider regarding your recent breast augmentation with 315cc Motiva Ergonomix implants: Swelling and Initial Size: At one week post-op, it's common to experience significant swelling, which can make your breasts appear larger than their final size. As swelling subsides over the coming weeks, your breasts will begin to settle into their more natural shape. Expected Size Outcome: While it’s difficult to predict the exact size you will achieve, many patients find that they ultimately end up with a size smaller than they initially perceive due to swelling. The size difference can vary, but based on your desire for a mid C cup, you may find that the final result aligns more closely with your goal as healing progresses. Drop and Fluff: After breast augmentation, it’s typical for implants to “drop and fluff.” This means that the implants will settle into a lower position and the breast tissue will expand around them, resulting in a more rounded appearance. This process can take several weeks to months, so patience is key. Consult Your Surgeon: It’s always best to discuss your concerns with your surgeon, who can provide personalized insights based on their knowledge of your specific case. They can help reassure you about the normal healing process and what to expect in terms of size and shape. Final Results Timeline: Most patients see significant changes by the 3 to 6 month mark, so give your body time to heal fully. It’s essential to follow post-operative care instructions to ensure the best possible outcome. Your body is still adjusting after the surgery, so give it time to settle. Many patients experience a journey to their final result, which can often align with their initial goals.

Answer: 1 week post op Motiva full 315cc ergonomics, what cup size you think I will end up with? Whatever bra brand you buy and however you choose your bra "fit," I think 315cc implants will add about a cup to at most a cup and a half to your present bra size.I suspect you will be "just fine" (not "huge") once swelling diminishes and tissues soften and stretch. In fact, I think there is a reasonable chance you will be "too small." I would also inform you prior to surgery that "filling the upper pole with nice round cleavage" is what a push-up bra does (once you have adequate size to push up). If you have "filled upper pole with nice round cleavage" when nude, you will likely have capsular contracture (CC) and hard unnatural breasts, since your pre-op appearance (teardrop shape) is simply enlarged with breast augmentation. Soft and compressible is "natural," whereas full and round (what I call the Baywatch coconut) is accompanied by hard, round capsular contracture if you have that appearance without a bra.BTW, breasts do not "drop and fluff." Implants drop (since gravity works in 100% of patients), and tissues soften and stretch (unless you develop CC--bad), but "fluffing" is what porn movie actresses do to keep the male porn actors, ahem, "ready" for their action scenes. Look it up. And let's NOT use the term "fluff" in plastic surgery, shall we?Also, the difference between 335cc and 315cc is one tablespoon and one teaspoon! This size difference is invisible over an entire breast. If 335cc is "too big" then 315cc will also be "too big." You need 50-60cc (2 ounces) to even be slightly visible as a difference. Since I suspect you will be only slightly more than one cup larger than your present size, again, I worry that in 6 months you will feel a bit smaller than you wished, and will then regret you didn't follow your surgeon's advice. I hope not, but that is my 30 years' experience and thousands of patients talking. It will take you 6-12 months to see complete healing and your "final" results. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Answer: Size You will change over the next few months and look smaller than your are now. The implants will lower, and as you have said, there is soft tissue swelling that will resolve. So, relax and wait. You can always change an implant size at a later time, so this doesn't have to be a forever thing. I bet it won't come to that and you will gradually become very pleased. Patience is a wonderful thing. Good luck.
