How uncomfortable is the Thermage FLX treatment?

I read that Thermage is regarded as one of the less comfortable skin tightening treatments, but I also read that Thermage FLX is generally considered to be less uncomfortable. In your experience, is there a significant difference in comfort level between these two treatments?

Hello, Thermage FLX treatment is extremely comfortable. While the cold tip keeps the skin surface at 20°C, it employs advanced high-powered monopolar radiofrequency, heating the skin and subcutaneous layers up to 80°C, stimulating collagen production. This creates a revision and rejuvenation effect across all tissues, from the skin and connective tissue to muscles and bones. Thermage FLX doesn't disrupt daily life and doesn't leave any side effects. It's even possible to undergo this treatment in as little as just one hour during a lunch break.
While we used to achieve beautiful results with the previous model, CPT, performing procedures highly demanded in middle age such as skin rejuvenation and non-surgical facelifts, it doesn't offer the same comfort as FLX due to the absence of vibration technology. Hi, thank you for your question! Regardless of which machine you are using for Thermage the pain level should be the same. Thermage is typically a 3/10 pain level for most patients. Thermage is one of the most tolerable skin tightening and collagen building treatments. Certain areas on the face can be more sensitive to the heat pulses, if there are nerve endings in the area such as around the mouth and over the temples.
