The lower of third of my face is too long and wide. Is there a way to shorten my face? Maybe with chin reduction and shaving the jaw? Also how many mm can my face be shortened? Can I also make my jaw slimmer and more v shaped?

Changing the shape of the jawline is called V-Line surgery. The angles of the mandible and the chin are changed in order to create a slimmer facial appearance. Sometimes the changes are performed by shaving and in some cases, the bone is cut away and plates and screws are placed.

Yes, we shorten chins and jaws regularly. There is a lot of bone that can be removed, but we must use good judgement so that the skin isn't loose afterwards.  That is determined when we see and examine your jaw.  It's all done through the inside of the mouth. Watch our videos to learn more.
