Can I shorten my face with a chin reduction and shaving the jaw? (Photo)

The lower of third of my face is too long and wide. Is there a way to shorten my face? Maybe with chin reduction and shaving the jaw? Also how many mm can my face be shortened? Can I also make my jaw slimmer and more v shaped?

I'm writing this response moments after doing a rhinoplasty with jaw reduction for a young woman. These two do effect each other with regards to balance and proportion. We can reduce your nose and jaw at the same time to get closer to the look you seek. Both together take about 2 hours.

It appears that your chin is retruded and small; for that reason a chin augmentation with appropriate implant would be the most logical solution. In person or at least teleconference with a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in chin surgery would help. In many practices...

This is a particular area of focus for my practice. However, we don't have the right photos. We need side views too. Biting and not biting as well (from the front). But, good news, there are ways to help this. We just need to know the right approach first.

There is a lot that goes into looking feminine. While you look quite feminine now, we can likely adjust your face with chin modification - e.g. a chin implant or jaw surgery. Watch our videos to learn more.

At times chin filler helps to minimize chin drooping downward. If one is satified with the filler results, a chin implant is a surgical option. For some patient, off-label Botox helps to relax the mentalis muscle which may limit the downward pull.
