Are Miracu repeat treatments as effective as the original?

While researching the Miracu PDO thread lift, I read that the lifting and firming effects last about a year. That sounds like good longevity. If I get great results the first time, is it reasonable to assume it will be as effective on future refresher treatments, or is there a risk of diminishing returns over time?

The PDO thread lift using Miracu or Mint threads, which are FDA approved, is an office procedure that supports, and lifts loose or hanging tissues of the face, neck and jawline.  As it is performed through tiny pin holes, the healing and recovery is quick and painless.  The PDO threads start to dissolve in 6-8 weeks and as they dissolve they are replaced with a column of collagen which can last 12-14 months, depending upon the patients anatomy and quality of tissue.  In the hands of an experienced surgeon the procedure is safe and most effective.   The second time the threads are used the results are actually improved as collagen and skin quality has increased significant.

Hello! Thank you for your question. While the lifting and firming effects of the Miracu thread lift lasts about a year, the treatment will actually leave your skin in better shape than when you began, even if the lift has faded. There is no reason to believe that there would be any diminishing returns- quite the opposite! In some more severe cases, we will often perform 2 treatments about 6-8 weeks apart rather than wait a full year (or longer) before doing another lift.
