Looking to restore my beard. I am unhappy with spots after having had done laser hair removal, but wanting to grow a beard.

Yes, a beard transplant can be performed after a laser hair removal assuming an adequate donor site is available. It is important that the skin at the site of the laser removal has completely healed prior to any hair transplant procedure. A hair transplant procedure involves transplanting hairs from a viable donor area to the facial region which will grow regardless of previous removal methods. It is important to discuss your specific case with a qualified surgeon prior to undergoing any procedure. 
I have personally done a beard transplant on a patient who had had laser hair removal and regretted the hair removal. The transplant was very successful.

LASER hair removal may not be able to get rid all of non pigment hair. In case you need to removal all beard,there are options of hair removal other than LASER. For example RF or Electrocautery,can also be alternative options for hair removal. But if you are sure that you want to regrow beard, hair transplantation is still possible. The donor hair can be the scalp hair that match to the beard or beard hair itself from under the chin area.
