Do most men reach a Norwood VI or Norwood VII? Does baldness sometimes stop at Norwood II or Norwood III? If it does stop, then is there a way to tell how likely it is you will reach a Norwood VI or VII? Are there percentages available of the different men who reach each stage on the Norwood scale and stay there if they do?

Answer: Do Hair Loss Patterns Progress? The amount of genetic male pattern hair loss will depend on your genetic makeup. Some men are programmed to be Norwood Class 2 some Norwood Class 7 and many in between. The pattern you will eventually have will become evident by late 20's early 30's in most men. So the answer is most men will not reach Class 6 or 7 and yes it can stop at class 2.

Answer: Norwood Class 5 or 6 pattern The Norwood patterns that were published by Dr. Otar Norwood were genetic patterns that were developed by people directly. Contrary to popular belief that one evolves from, let's say from a Class 3 pattern into a Class 5 or Class 6 of Class 7 pattern, no such evolution occurs. People born with a Class 3 pattern of balding will not evolve into a Class 5 pattern of balding and will remain with a Class 3 pattern of balding. The best example can be seen with men who have Class 7 patterns of balding (about 7% of the population). These men develop these patterns well before they are 30 years old and this unfold as early as 19.
