Should microneedling cause bleeding? Using a Dermapen to target ice pick and rolling scars.

I have lots of ice pick and rolling scars on my face from acne. I have had 5 morpheus ,and 4 infini sessions without much improvement. The infini therapist attempted to use a deeper needle but i started to bleed a little so she went back to the shorter one saying my skin is too thin and it will get damaged. Later a dermapen therapist told me that the dermapen would do a better job and that bleeding is the outcome they are looking for! Can you please advise who is correct? Thank you
