How can I prevent eyebrow hair loss during IPL treatment?

I am to receive 6 session of IPL for ocular rosacea by an ophthalmologist. I have read that hair loss from the brow can be a side effect of this and I would like to prevent this. I will be given goggles to protect eyes but nothing for brows. Would covering them with some material like cotton be enough to stop the laser affecting that area or do I need something stronger? I have pale skin and dark hair so I am worried that they will be susceptible to hair loss

Thank you for your question.Many practitioners will either attempt to avoid the areas directly adjacent to hair growth or will use a wooden tongue depressor/gauze/their finger/etc to cover the brows/hairline while performing IPL treatments in an effort to reduce the risk of unwanted hair loss. I would recommend consulting with an experienced practitioner prior to your procedure so that you can address these concerns. Best of luck!
