Bracket on last molar but no wire?

Question

Hi, I just have my braces fitted today and I have realised that I have a bracket on my last molar but there's no wire going to it. I'm missing one back to tooth before this one, is it possible that when putting in the wire the assistant forgot abut this last molar?(it's really far at the back and hardly visible). Just wondering what would be the point in fitting the bracket and not attaching it to the wire?

There is a possibility that what you said is true.  However, there are also many situations where wires are not placed through every single bracket.In particular, when second molars are braced to start, the wire is not always extended that far back, because the span between the two braces is large, and the wire is very flexible.  This leads to an increased change of it being dislodged.  In our office, by design, we do not always place the wire that far back at the initial visit to avoid this very problem.If you have a concern, best thing is to send an email off to the office.
