Thanks for posting the picture. Crossbites like your can actually be fixed fairly quickly. It doesn't matter if you have metal or ceramic brackets. I would suggest asking your orthodontist specifics about your treatment options. Fixing the crossbite will make a huge difference in your appearance.

You have anterior crossbite and most likely you will need both orthodontics and corrective jaw surgery to address this issue properly. As for whether to choose metal or ceramic braces, this decision should not affect the final result.
