Answer: Unhappy With Hair Transplant You typically need to wait until at least 8 months before making any decisions on the success of your procedure. When my patients go through the SmartGraft process here in Cincinnati, I typically encourage them to also use the Laser Cap to maximize the health of every single follicle that we have placed in addition to there original follicles that are still there. It is also very important to go back to your original physician so they can monitor the regrowth and make sure things are normal.

Answer: Too early It's too early to call the results on your procedure. So take heart, there are likely many more grafts ready to wake up and grow in. I don't even bother to start envisioning how the final growth may be until the 8th month. If you see growth by four months you're doing ok. You have no choice but to wait, so try to put your mind on something else in the meantime. You may have good crop coming but just don't know it yet. Dr. FellerGreat Neck, NY

Answer: FUE potential problems First, find your doctors contact information for follow up of your hair transplantation. Secondly, seek the advice of your family doctor or dermatologist for itchiness of your scalp. In general, avoid shampoos that contain sulfates (sulphates), they are in most shampoos so it may be difficult to find. As far as your pictures are concerned it appears that grafts have been planted to deep resulting in pitting. If the grafts were handled and cared for properly then the grafts should grow but keep in mind that with FUE in the best hands we expect about 90% growth rate. I regularly see many in new consultations that have very disappointing results. Unfortunately, the proliferation of automated FUE devices has made less skilled surgeons think they are hair transplant expertsWhen pursuing hair restoration always seek the advice of a hair transplant surgeon who practices hair restoration full time, has a good reputation and can show many examples of their work. I am still doing far too many repairs of hair restoration work that has been done recently. Please review my post on "How to avoid a bad hair transplant"
