I went today to pick up my teeth whitening trays. When I got home I realized the top tray doesn't fully cover the two front teeth by a significant amount. The dental assistant checked them before I walked out and didn't notice a problem. Does this matter?

Thank you for your question. I would recommend not to eat for an hour and only foods, which do not have coloring in them. Consuming food containing color should be avoided for 48 hours.

Typically immediately after brushing is the best time to whiten teeth, this is when your tooth surface is the cleanest with the least amount of food and plaque debris. Good luck!
