Did tape and glue ruin my eyes? Will it result in unnatural double eyelid surgery? (Photo)

Question

I have double eyelids, just kinda thin and small. i found out eyelid taping in like october of last year, and I used to pull them off aggressively. when i found out they could make your eyes saggy i removed them gently instead with oil. however, my eyelids are still kind of saggy and are definitely smaller (appear like monolids on camera) and there are second creases that have formed. Would i still be a good candidate for surgery? Will the results still be natural?

You didn't ruin your eyelids, and it's common for patients to use eyelid glue or eyelid tape to simulate the appearance they would like to achieve permanently with surgery. Prolonged use can result in some additional wrinkling and laxity of the skin over a long period of time, but this excess can be addressed during Asian blepharoplasty surgery as excess skin and excess fat can be removed during the procedure. Your surgeon will be able to create a single, crisp crease, and design the shape and height that you prefer. At the moment you have an infold/tapered crease that is slightly low, and this can be made into a higher infold/tapered crease or into a higher outfold/parallel crease.
