Radiesse or Sculptra for depressed acne scar? (Photos)

Subcision, which I have been performing since 1994 is a simple, relatively inexpensive technique for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indented (depressed, atrophic ) scars from all causes. The kinds of mildly indented scars seen in the photos are typically amenable to simple subcision with or withoutthe addition of a filler. In my opinion, both Radiesse and Sculptra and certainly a fraxel laser would be overkill for such relatively mildly indented scars. While the use of an HA filler, simply to enhance new collagen and elastic fiber is generally reasonable, the mildness of the scarring in this case suggest that this add-on may not be needed. Make sure to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and not merely venues hawking the latest, supposedly "next big thing" expensive gizmo that it has just purchased.
