Has anybody heard of adding a part of jaw bone to the dorsum as a graft for dorsal augmentation?

The best choice for dorsal augmentation is using cartilage from your own body. This reduces the risk of warping, resorption, and is more natural-appearing. The best sites to obtain cartilage are your septum (inside your nose), ribs and ears. The amount of cartilage that is necessary depends on the degree of tip projection and dorsal augmentation you want to achieve (how tall you want to make your nose). If you only want a conservative amount, it may be attainable with cartilage harvested from your septum. For a more dramatic change, additional cartilage is necessary which can be obtained from your rib. This is a much better option than using part of the jaw bone. Good luck! @drdonyoo

Oral surgeons use small bits of bone from the jaw while doing jaw surgery. But for rhinoplasty not the best choice
