Hello, I'm 54 years old Hispanic female 5'7" about 230 pounds. I'm very interested in having a procedure done on my legs, I've been diagnosed with lipodema so my limbs are large and nothing I do will make them smaller.

Lipedema is a subcutaneous adipose disease of the arms and legs.  Treatment should be comprehensive and include a low-refined carbohydrate diet, low-impact exercise, and medical-grade compression. Dear Madam I hope you are doing well. According to your photos you have lipedema stage 3. Your weight is over normal limits. In your case the best option is first start a low carb diet, life style changes and gym and manual lymphatic massage and compression socks. Surgery can be done as well but lowering your weight should be the best option. If you think that it is not possible for you to reduce your weight, surgery can be discussed.
