So I have seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis, can these 2 along with stress cause hair loss more like sudden hair loss? So I have pictures from 4 months ago and I had hair around my temple and now since the last month I can see hair loss around my left temple. I don't have hair thinning or anything like that. I have been told I have lot of scales and inflammation due to the conditions mentioned above. So what should I do work on those conditions or seek help for hair loss and can it be reversed?
Answer: Hair loss due to seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis The very likely cause of your hair loss is the skin conditions that you have. The inflammation from both SK and Psoriasis can cause the hair follicles to fall. In most cases this is reversible with control of the underlying condition. Typically a topical steroid shampoo or topical steroid gel can be applied to the area to control the inflammation. This should reverse the hair loss and after a period of 6 months to a year the hair should regrow. Unfortunately, there are some cases where the hair doesn't regrow. In these instances, you may consider getting PRP treatment to the area to help with hair density or if the recession is sever enough you may consider hair transplantation. But the first thing that must be done is to control the inflammatory disease conditions that have caused the issue at the first place.

Answer: Hair loss — spironolactone/finesteride, PRP/acell/exosomes, emeragecosmetics Restorsea spray, Viviscal, anteageMD stem cells start theradome now (see lnk) and in office PRP/acell. You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hairless its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. See an expert for an evaluation. If hair loss is significant it may requires hair transplant (follicular unit translation).

Answer: Can hair loss near temples be reversed? Thank you for bringing up this solid question. One common question that is frequently asked is ‘can hair loss near temples be reversed?’. Hair loss on the temples can be a result of various type of conditions, but the earlier you approach a medical professional, the better it is - for minimising the chances of hair loss and increasing the possibility of regrowing your hair. Skin conditions are also a likely possibility that the hair loss had occurred. Skin conditions like SK and psoriasis can cause inflammation due to which hair follicles fall out. In majority of the cases these conditions are reversible. Your medical practitioner might recommend you to use a topical steroid shampoo or topical steroid gel cream that is generally applied to the area of hair loss to control inflammation. These medications are said to reverse the hair loss between a period of six months to 1 year. In instances where the head doesn’t really grow for some patience they are likely to get a PRP treatment to the areas for hair density or another hair transplantation method after consultation. However the first priority is always given to control the inflammatory skin conditions that cause hair loss in the first place.

Answer: Hair Loss Hello, thanks for the photos. I recommend you to see a dermatologist since you mentioned you have Seborrheic dermatitis and Psoriasis. These conditions might cause hair loss due to inflammation and usually, you can prevent further hair loss and reverse it with topical medications. If this doesn't work out for you, you might have other underlying causes of hair loss. You could reverse it with medications like Minoxidil or Finasteride, which your doctor will prescribe you after the examinations. You could also try non-surgical procedures like PRP therapy, but it doesn't guarantee hair growth. If every other method fails and your hair loss is stable you can get a hair transplant after an evaluation.Best luck!
