I’m a 30yo female, non smoker/gym 2x a week. Struggling to make any progress on my inner/outer thighs & knees, had a consult with a dr back in Europe a while ago. They suggested that we treated outer thighs and flanks with SmartLipo (no aspiration) and inner thighs and knees with Aqualyx injections, all combined with lymphodrainage massage sessions. Planning on seeing a dr here and wondering if the treatment course mentioned above will help me reach any sufficient results. Thanks!
Answer: Treatment plan I don’t know what Liposuction without aspiration would do for you. First-hand experience using smart Lipo my conclusion is that the later offers nothing in regards to patient benefit and Liposuction is all based on skill and experience of the provider. Delivering consistent quality results is much more difficult than most people believe so be careful because the results are permanent and irreversible. We don’t use aqualyx in the United States. I’ve taken care of patients I’ve had it injected in the hips and buttocks and the product travels and creates pockets in other areas after people lay down and put pressure on the areas where it’s been injected. It’s kind of a disastrous product that way because it ends up creating channels all over the body and it’s difficult to remove. I don’t think it is a good product and I would stay away from it but I have a limited experience. Without question the most important variables is finding the most talented and experience surgeon and to do that generally requires having a lot of consultations. People are out to take your money and know that people are willing to spend lots of money to try to look better. Making middle-age women’s flabby thighs look better is very difficult. Dissimply aren’t any great treatments for this. Liposuction works well for areas like outer thighs for those who have true saddlebags but does not do that well for inner thighs. Delivering quality results consistently requires decades of experience and inherent talent. Personally I would make my Decision based on having multiple in person consultations. I recommend during consultations patient as providers to show their entire collection a before and after pictures for the procedure you’re considering. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you 50 or more sets of before and after pictures. Does for a highly experienced will have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures. Ask to see examples of average results, good results and less than results. Specifically ask them to show you before and after pictures of women who have very similar body characteristics to your own. That should not be difficult for anyone who has a lot of experience. When in doubt slow down and schedule consultations with other providers. I do not recommend traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures. The importance of having in person consultations, having time to think things through before scheduling for surgery, recognizing the importance of postoperative care, the number of people who have concerns with her outcomes, or that complications actually do happen are often overlooked.
