Can nerve repair be done to help ease the pain I have in my lip, mouth, chin and jaw? I had an infection for a year and repeated surgical trauma to my face which was operated on over 10 times to try and clear the infection. I can no longer eat, talk, or smile without increasing my already unbearable pain. The trauma happened 3 years ago. Does successful nerve repair have a limited time frame? My lower lip is the worst and I would be happy if just this didn't hurt. Medication does not help.
