I usually estimate a 330 cc implant will give a full C cup in most patients. However, cup size can be very subjective and it also depends on how much breast tissue is present prior to surgery.
The cup size that you will be after a 330 cc imp;want depends on so many factors, especially your starting point, that it is not possible to comment.
It is not that simple to simply equate a certain number of cc's to a cup size as it depends on many factors. Here are my opinion: It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 350 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. . Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in a bit.
Thanks for your question. It's not possible to predict a person's cup size based on implant size alone, for a number of reasons. The cup size achieved with an implant of a certain volume will vary depending on each person's starting breast dimensions and size. Also different bra brands have very different sizing - a person might wear a C-cup from one manufacturer but a D-cup from another. A more reliable way to choose implants is to have a discussion with a plastic surgeon about your size goal, then select implants based on your breast dimensions, the surgeon's recommendations, and other techniques like trying on sizers or 3D imaging.
Without an in person examination I can't tell what 330cc will look like on your body. It is rare to use cup size as goal because there are so many variables. Your measurements and anatomy will help determine a realistic size.
Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes.
It is very easy to be confused by a cup size measuring system. Cup sizesare only used as estimates for clothing. The cup is determined by manyvariables including: size of the chest, the shape of the rib cage, body build, implant type, and breast dimensions.Itis very easy to be confused by this measuring system. Cup sizes are only usedas estimates for clothing. Although the measuring technique for determining cupsize is precise, the results of these measurements are not. Let me give you anexample; weight is a very accurate measurement. However two patients that weigh120 lbs are not likely to look alike. The same is true with two patients that have the same size implants. It is not an exact science if you are trying to figure out what breast implant size you want to obtain. For example, it will take a lot morefor someone who has a 36 band to go from an A cup to a C cup than someone whowears a 32 band bra. The following are estimates:34 BandBra Size -175cc's to increase 1 cup size.36 Band Bra Size-200cc's to increase 1 cup size.38 Band Bra Size-225cc's to increase 1 cup size. The better way to choose an implant size is to try on try on sizers in theoffice while wearing a tight t-shirt, bathing suit or leotard. Realize that there are nostandardized cup dimensions of a "C" or a "D". It variesdepending on chest wall size, bra company and individual style within acompany. Nor is there a direct correlation betweenimplant shape or size and cup size. Keepin mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any otherwebsite who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physicallyfeeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medicalhistory, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would notbe in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certifiedby the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the AmericanSociety for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and arecomfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.RobertSinger, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
What I have noticed is an approximate increase of one cup size for every 250cc implant size. A consultation would be helpful to help you pick the best size for you.
This question is impossible to answer. First we live in an age of cup inflation where a bra manufacturers now routinely call a certain cup size much larger size because of vanity sizing in addition it is proportional to your chest circumference and size as a very broad rule of thumb I have used 200 mL as a cup size. So this would give you roughly 1 1/2 cups larger than you currently are but depending on the bra manufacturer you where you could be anywhere from 1 to 2 cups difference therefore I usually talk more about the look and having the implants proportional to your shoulders chest waist and hips as opposed to trying to have a specific cup size
A common question and misunderstanding of breast implants. The 330 will look different on every patient and is not any cup size. The final cup size will be determined by the implant plus your tissues, plus/minus the muscle, the prominence of the ribs, the base width of the breast and on and on.
But no one can say for sure... but if you're too large and you want to be smaller, you can certainly do that. If you want to find out if your implants are your cause, you can simply have them intentionally deflated in the office to remove the volume and if the implants were your cause,...
Over the years I have occasionally seen flipped implants in position. This is usually when I'm coming back to revise someone else's procedure or in implant set of been in for a very long time. Very rarely an implant can flip during the insertion. This is why I always check to make sure. On the...
It sounds like you have a capsular contracture. We see the patients on a regular basis every year to keep these things from sneaking up on you. You need to go see the plastic surgeon.
