Is it okay to use tretinoin and Vaseline together? Will Vaseline prevent tretinoin from working? Will it clog my pores?

Just finished isotretinoin course Then was prescribed tretinoin 0.05% Is it okay to moisturize with Vaseline. Or will Vaseline give me acne and prevent tretinoin from working. Thank you in advance

Hai...Retinoids increases the cell turnover. Hence the superficial layer of the skin is also turning over at a faster rate which mimics exfoliation. Usually a 'sunburn' kind reaction is experienced a few days post application. Hence it is advisable to soothen your skin with any kind of moisturisers. Use tretinoin in the night time and moisturisers and sunscreens in the day hours. And moisturisers will not interrupt with tretinoin's effects nor it forms acne.
