Is it okay to use tretinoin and Vaseline together? Will Vaseline prevent tretinoin from working? Will it clog my pores?

Usually a 'sunburn' kind reaction is experienced a few days post application. Hence it is advisable to soothen your skin with any kind of moisturisers. Use tretinoin in the night time and moisturisers and sunscreens in the day hours. And moisturisers will not interrupt with tretinoin's effects nor it forms acne.
