Can I have Lipo even though I am on blood thinners?

I am in desperate need for SmartLipo but I am afraid because I am already on blood thinners (due to an embolism last year). I have 4 areas that need attention so that I can increase my ability to do more strenuous exercise for a prolonged amount of time.

First of all, whatever Lipo you accomplish with SmartLipo is not going to appreciably improve your exercise tolerance. But I think it's probably a bad idea to do Lipo while on blood thinners. Get with your hematologist and find out when you will be off them. Then you need his or her plan for any perioperative management.Good luck!

There is no connection between liposuction and exercise tolerance. The latter is about your cardiovascular health and lung capacity. Having said that, I don't think it would be a smart idea to have liposuction while on blood thinners, but speak with your hematologist. Best of luck --
