How will my retainer work if I’m going to fix my chipped teeth after braces? (Photo)

I have two chipped front teeth I don’t like it. It’s not too bad. They use to be round now they are distorted a little from chewing on hard things. I am going to get braces on in a few days. Once I get them off and I go get them bonded will I have to get a whole new retainer or can they reshape the retainer to fit it as a dentist? Or is there a way the orthodontist can work with that? How does this work at all?

It's possible that these pits came from the orthodontic appliance debonding. It's the risk you take with conventional bracket bonding and orthodontic treatment. I'm not blaming the orthodontist; it's just a fact of life. As to your question of how to fix; composite bonding would be the best. An...

Craze lines on enamel are harmless. But esthetically it can be a problem. I suggest you to get composite bonding done or placement of Porcelain veneer on that tooth.

You you should be able to have your dentist re-contour your two front teeth immediately. It would probably also be best to do that before your final retainers are fabricated by your orthodontist. Good luck
