Will Accutane ruin sex for me?

Question

I am on my first month of Accutane, so far so good. Today however, I read about a few post accutane users (female) who can no longer have Sex because it hurts so bad, due to accutane drying them up? Even reports of women who, after getting off accutane, never got better. This is making me so nervous, I'm on 40mg, please give me some insight! Thank You!

Thanks for your
question – and don’t believe everything that everyone posts on-line; they
sometimes are not always true.  And in this
case, there is no medical science that supports painful sexual intercourse
following someone being on Accutane that I am aware of or ever heard of in my
25 years of dermatology.  So I would not
be concerned about this.
