Please be patient with your results. My suggestion is to learn more about the Picosure laser for tattoo removal, this laser will remove your tattoo in fewer treatments than ordinary lasers. Be sure to follow up with your doctor to make sure you are healing properly.

Tattoo removal is effective and permanent.  However, treating a tattoo section just to lighten it to match the rest of your tattoo is tricky and may not work out as plan.  You may be better off removing that whole section or wait and see if that section fades over time.

The laser most effective for black ink, the Q-switched Nd:Yag laser, should work well for you.  It has poor absorption of skin pigment (melanin) but excellent absorption of black ink (normally carbon).  You do NOT need to attempt skin bleaching, and we have treated hundreds of darkly...
