Does dental bonding cover the whole tooth?

Question

I have been recommended for dental bonding to fix a chipped front tooth and one next to it with wearing enamel but my question is if I was to have my front teeth done with bonding which I suppose is white wouldn’t people be able to tell? For example if I had all front teeth done top and bottom and I opened my mouth wouldn’t top of the teeth be a different colour to the front? if they match it to your natural colour and it’s yellowish what’s point in getting them bonded?

Often times, dentists will select a shade of dental bonding that will match the natural color of your teeth so that it will blend into your smile nicely. If you find your teeth are already yellow to begin with, I'd suggest you opt for a whitening treatment prior to bonding to achieve the look you're going for.Bonding is applied to the majority of the tooth to ensure it's adhesion to the tooth structure and to reduce the risk of breakage and chipping.
