Dr. Shannon Hobbs is a wonderful dentist who has a kind and compassionate approach to care. She made me feel comfortable the moment I walked into the office from front staff to the operatory. I had dental bonding done on a couple of teeth that were chipped as well as crooked, and Dr. Hobbs wholeheartedly exceeded my expectations at what I thought was realistic and achievable. She completely transformed my smile in one visit that made me feel more confident and secure (without pain or removing tooth structure!). More importantly, she comprehensively went over my treatment options beforehand, and her front staff gave me an estimate of the costs ahead of time - all equally important as a beautiful result. Dr. Hobbs has, amazingly, become a dentist you look forward to seeing. I don’t often do well with regards to dental appointments, but Dr. Hobbs makes it her mandate to make sure that her patients are comfortable, calm, and at ease. After being left disappointed with my previous Invisalign results due to the irregular shape of some of my top teeth I visited Dr Shannon Hobbs for a consult on dental bonding after finding her on RS. The clinic was by far the friendliest i've ever visited and Dr Hobbs is beyond lovely. Her work is AMAZING and I have now switched my dentist here permanently. Amazing! Simply amazing! Dr. Shannon Hobbs is without a doubt the most patient-centric and talented Dental Professional I've ever met! Upon meeting Shannon, she "interviewed" me by asking numerous questions about my dental history, experiences and expectations moving forward. Then she asked me for my "Dental Wish List". I was rather taken-aback by that question because no dentist has ever asked me that before. So of course in answering her question, I jumped past the obvious day-to-day issues such as my cavities, root canal, crown, gum disease, etc. As a man in my sixties who has "hidden" my smile for over forty years, I candidly told her that my misaligned front teeth, and in particular my two front uppers which were severely mismatched colour-wise, had been a major source of embarrassment for over forty years. In fact, even as an adult, I have been subjected to disparaging commentary and ridicule by a few ignoramuses that I've run into. Shannon's response to me was entirely unexpected and in fact, unbelievable. I had to ask her a few times if she really meant what she said. Her persistent answer was yes, and after two hours of her highly-skilled "craftsmanship" and care, the outcome was extraordinary! In fact, it was LIFE-CHANGING! Suffice it to say that my front upper teeth, and after a subsequent appointment yesterday, my front lowers, are now aligned, of uniform proportion, and are artfully colour-matched! I had been considering extensive orthodontic work and the need for dental implants, but have refrained due to the financial implications. Now that Shannon has cost-effectively resolved my most disconcerting and embarrassing physical "flaw", I no longer need to face those unpleasant and prohibitively expensive alternatives. My entire family are in disbelief! My ex-wife heard from our children, she contacted me asking to see my "before & after" close-up pics. After viewing them via email, her immediate response to me was..."I'm thrilled for you!" So, what has changed for me? You can absolutely realign your canine with Invisalign! With the right treatment plan it shouldn't take more that 6 months to correct. No braces required!
Given the minor changes you're looking to accomplish with regards to improving shape and length of specific teeth, absolutely bonding can be a fantastic option for you! Your ortho may have to take into consideration the bite to insure that there is enough room for the bonding to be added without risk of chipping, but it is a great solution to correcting the symmetry issues you're experiencing!
