II was wondering if I need a root canal treatment while having braces, and I have to take them off for 3 weeks, the orthodontic progress reached until now will regress ?

Sometimes brackets break. It's unlikely that a bracket would break off twice, but it happens. If it's a back tooth, your orthodontist can place a band around the tooth, instead of a bracket. Bands break very rarely. Good luck!
