Root canal while wearing braces ?

II was wondering if I need a root canal treatment while having braces, and I have to take them off for 3 weeks, the orthodontic progress reached until now will regress ?

Typically, it is recommended that you wait 3 months after root canal therapy before reinitiating orthodontic tooth movement. However, the true test as to whether your root canal treated tooth is ready for movement is by having a periapical xray of the treated tooth at least a month or two after treatment to see if there is any healing.
