In 2016, I had an infection on my nose that left me with a depressed scar on my nose. It also became hypopigmented. It left me extremely self conscious and my dermatologist at the time recommended CO2 laser therapy. I did 5 CO2 laser treatments on my nose with minimal difference made (2017-2018). I then sought a 2nd opinion from a plastic surgeon and did subscion and 5 sessions of RF microneedling. Then it was recommended to put HA filler in my scar to raise the depressed area (2019). I continued with filler in the scar until 2024. In July 2024 I had a closed rhinoplasty in which fat was put into the depressed scar on my nose. The volume is much better now but the scar is still a little depressed and I feel like the scar needs smoothing and I know this is a long shot but I would love some recommendations on making the hypopigmentation look better (I know this is hard though). I would appreciate any advice on what procedures can make my scar look as best as it possibly can (knowing it won’t completely disappear). It has recently been recommended to me that I should put Bellafill in the nasal scar then do CO2 laser resurfacing on my entire face and then use hydroquinone to lighten the entire nose. Just looking for advice if this would be the best course of action or not. I am seeing a plastic surgeon in St. Louis in December with a good reputation as well so I eager to get that advice as well. Thank you in advance for any advice!
